Fire Companies 1 & 2 Respond to Call

Last night at 1:03 am, companies were dispatched to a residence for the report of smoke filling in the attic. After Pequannock Police arrived on scene, the fire department was redispatched for a confirmed structure fire. Upon arrival, Chief 1 reported heavy smoke showing from the structure and established incident command. Engine 1-1’s crew arrived on scene, stretched a hoseline to the first floor, and found fire contained within the walls. Crews from companies 1 & 2 worked to open up the walls, extinguish the fire, and ensure there was no further spread. Thanks to the fast actions of our members, the fire was contained to the room of origin.
